We Serve

Our members are actively involved in our community as volunteers through a variety of programs and organizations.  As a congregation we offer many opportunities to serve: Prayer Chain – persons committed to praying for others.  To make a request for prayer, call the church office at

Quilting Group for Lutheran World Relief – meets at 9:00 am on the 1st, 2nd and 4th Tuesdays. In April we delivered 125 quilts to Lutheran World Relief last year.

Meeker County Food Shelf – Collection Center March and November. We have an annual Youth Trick-or- Treat for Food Shelf annually to kick start out collection.

Women’s Fellowship Group– Contributes to local and international needs through annual projects.  Some of these have been tie quilts, personnel care kits, baby care kits, medical kits. And other areas as needed.

Sunday School – Usually contribute to an annual project, some of these have been Heifer International, & Missionary projects.

Missionary in Cameroon:  Dr. Elizabeth Johnson is serving as a seminary professor in Cameroon. 

Cookie Brigade – cook and ship fresh cookies and other items to our military members who are stationed in Iraq, Afghanistan, and other overseas military posts. Meet 2nd Monday of the month to bake goodies and ship packages.

Christmas Worship

Gethsemane Lutheran Church of Dassel would be excited to have you join us for one of our Christmas Eve Worship Services. Services are being held at the times below: Sunday, December 24th: 9:00a.m. Worship Service w/Communion for 4th Sunday in Advent 3:00p.m. Worship Service w/Communion a Family Service 5:00p.m. Worship Service w/Communion with Choir 11:00p.m. Worship Service w/Communion Candlelight Service Each afternoon and evening worship service will also a fellowship with homemade cookies and cider.
